TRANSFERRING CARE
First and foremost we want to remind you to advocate for yourself and one another, we've got your back too!
Things are constantly changing and we never really know what support will look like these days. Some hospitals around the country are not allowing any support people (including spouses/partners) to be with the birthing person. At this time Austin Area hospitals have not implemented such policies but they are on the table for the future. With that in mind, some clients may be interested in exploring out-of-hospital birth options.
Here is a lint to our recommendations for Birth Centers and Midwives:

Additionally we have heard the following are potentially taking late transfers:
-
Katie Hirst - Midwifery of Austin
-
Kristin Youngblood-Dudley - Motherhood Midwifery
-
Laurie Fremgen - Austin Midwifery Services
-
April Blackmore CPM
-
Emma Morrison - Beautiful Beginning Birth Center
-
Michele Fitzgerald, CPM - Home Birth Services
-
Julia Bower, CNM
