SUPPORT BIPOC BIRTHWORKERS

  • Black Doulas for Black Mamas - their mission is to increase the number of birth-workers of color available to serve and support childbearing people of color. They are creating comprehensive, affordable education and training opportunities in maternity care, with subsequent employment opportunities, so birth-workers can work in their passion while earning a living wage working just one job

  • Birth Wild Awake - continuous effort to support the health, wellness, vitality and education of Black Indigenous People of Color + Doulas in the U.S. with an emphasis on centering Black families and Black Doulas. 

  • Black Home Birth Matters ATX - A small group of BIPOC midwives in the Austin area are raising funds to help make midwifery care accessible to individuals desiring home birth. 

  • Mama Nueva - Zulmy Galindo (she/her/ella) is a bilingual birth a postpartum doula trained through Commonsense Childbirth Institute.
