Comfort Measures.png

Comfort Measures is a 2-hour express hands-on course. It's a great refresher for repeat parents and we often refer to it as the support person's toolkit! During the class you'll learn:

  • What's happening during a cervical exam

  • Different positions to use while in labor

  • Muscle relaxation techniques

  • Visualization and guided imagery exercises

  • Breathing and relaxation techniques 

  • How affirmations and encouraging statements can help the laboring person

  • Special role that the support person plays during labor

  • The different pain medications that are available while in labor

​A must for all birthing people planning a vaginal birth: unmedicated, epidural, VBAC.​
